Collaboration between UMC and Cathelco
UMC International plc and Cathelco Ltd enter into agreement
UMC International plc and Cathelco Ltd have entered into a collaboration agreement to provide a framework for a working relationship between the two companies. The collaboration agreement will supply underwater engineering and diving services to inspect, repair, install and replace, seawater pipe work antifouling and Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) systems fitted to offshore, commercial and naval vessels and platforms.
Cathelco Ltd is the world leader in Seawater Pipework Anti Fouling and Impressed Current Cathodic Protection Systems (ICCP) with more than 20,000 installations of Cathodic Protection and Anti Fouling systems on all types of vessels including container carriers, ferries, cruise ships, tankers, FPSOs, tugs, frigates, destroyers, fast patrol craft, luxury yachts and offshore structures.
UMC, a member of the V.Group, is a worldwide supplier of all forms of underwater engineering and globally works on the underwater hulls of more than 1200 ships each year.

The service will be delivered via the Cathelco’s global network of agents and suppliers and UMC global network of own and partner owned operational bases. Projects are currently being progressed in the UK, West Africa and South America.
